World Record in Shipping Industry at Various Ports In India - PSTS

PSTS breaks its own records in coal dispatch in Karaikal Port:

Single Day Record:

PSTS dispatched 6 coal rakes loading in a day on 31st march 2016 and broke its earlier record of 5 coal rakes in a day that was set in 2015.

Single Month Record
In the month of March 2016, PSTS loaded 105 coal rakes and broke the earlier record of 104 coal rakes that was set in May 2012.

Annual Record
In the year 2015-2016 PSTS loaded 898 coal rakes of 29.84 lac tons and broke the earlier record of loading 875 coal rakes of 28.94 lac tons in the year 2014-2015.

PSTS handles one lakh MT raw sugar export in Karaikal Port

Thiruarooraan Sugar exported raw sugar - 1,03,750 MT to Myanmar through various shipments in the financial year 2015-2016. PSTS provided stevedoring services for the vessels MV SING 3, MV Southern Spirit, MV Goa, MV Calm Bay in the Karaikal Port.

MV. "Maria India" - a RORO vessel arrived on 12th March 2016 at Chennai Port to load Ashok Leyland Trucks. This being the first time call of MV Maria India to Chennai Port, Mr Cyril C. George, Chairman In-Charge, Chennai Port had flagged off the operation. Ashok Leyland, the exporter had shipped out 67 trucks to Colombo, 5ri Lanka.

In these days of 'hire and fire' policy being the order of the day, PSTS has very low employee turn over. The employees take up responsibility willingly and go beyond the call of duty in reaching the organizational goals. Their valuable time with the company is much appreciated. To mark the 75th anniversary celebrations, PSTS distributed watches and wall clocks to their employees.

PSTS steers ahead in steel handling in Kattupalli Port
Earlier PSTS received an award by L&T Kattupalli Port for achieving a steel cargo throughput of One lakh tonne within a period of about one year in 2015.. However, we are now proud to state that PSTS has handled a quantity of 72,175 M/tons of steel cargo in 3 months viz., between Jan., 2016 and March, 2016 in Kattupalli Port. The cargo mix comprises HR coils, CR Coils, HR steel plates, CR plates and TMT Bars.

PSTS handled 4 vessels simultaneously in Karaikal Port on 5th April 2016
