If you want to send a cargo to another part of the country, you could book the cargo in any nearby railway booking station. The Railway Companies will split among themselves their share from the total amount paid by making necessary book entries so that there is no headache for the customer.



Before independence, road transportation was very thin. Even a single bundle booked in Railway Station in Chennai will reach in three days to any town within Tamil Nadu.

Today, Indian Railways is certainly the ‘Lifeline of the Nation' with its commendable performance since the last 150 years. Indian Railways is known to be the largest railway network in Asia and world's largest railway system under a single management. Indian Railways employs about 1.6 million people, making itself the second largest commercial or utility employer in the world.
