Tanjung Bin Power project is 1000 MW ultra-super critical, coal fired power plant at Tanjung Bin, in the southern peninsular province of Johor, Malaysia. Alstom is supplying all the key power generation equipment and is in charge of the overall engineering, project management and commissioning.

PSTS Logistics was appointed to handle export shipments from Alstom’s India based facility under ex-works shipping terms. Operations involved temporary storage of goods so that other packages can be clubbed for shipment of entire project forwarding as single lot. PSTS allotted dedicated space at its plot inside Chennai harbour which has rail mounted gantry crane installed with lifting capacity of 45 Tons and mobile cranes with lifting capacity of 110 tons. Since all packages were of odd dimensions PSTS took special precaution in assigning relevant coding for easy identification at destination during installation of machinery.

Packages included machineries for coal grinding, separators, mill components and other assembly units.
