How awareness be truly in charge of your life? Simple - be aware!

When you get angry, you act like a machine. Someone turns one switch on and you launch into a fit of anger, another switch is turned on and you start feeling envious, another person turns yet another switch on and you feel happy. You only end up becoming a machine connected to several switches- press the switch here, this happens, press another switch there, something else happens! If some one pays you a compliment, it is music to your ears' if someone glares at you, you are filled with hatred.




The basis of the pursuit of awareness is constant alertness. You may question how it
is possible to practice this awareness in every day life. How do you put awareness into practice - at the store, in the office, or at home? As you can see, awareness is not a separate process. If you decide, “Henceforth I will perform my activities with awareness ” You will definitely be able to do so. But you will also need some patience to aid this resolve. It is our own mistake that we have truly perfected the practice of unawareness and therefore, even if we do not desire it, it keeps coming back.


In order to pursue wakefulness, bring awareness in whatever you are doing. If you add awareness to your work, it will not be a hindrance; on the contrary, it will increase your competence at work - be it in technology, be it in process or for that matter people!
